Thank you so much for your response Dan C! I am happy now to know that you guys and the developers are aware of the problem and that it may still be one (in my case). Make sure you have the latest Windows update installed to avoid the drag and drop issue. Select the Details tab and look for explorer.exe.

Press the key combination of CTRL + ALT + Delete on your keyboard and choose Task Manager from the list. I can confirm this issue is logged with our developers, and I'll be sure to 'bump' this report now for you - in the meantime using the (H) shortcut for the Pan tool certainly sounds like a good option. The Drag and Drop not working fix is important for users who want to avoid the annoyance of copy-pasting and want to organize their files quickly and conviniently. If I allowed the cleaner to do what it wanted, my Foobar installation would get scrambled, my older Office installation (broke outlook) would also get trashed.I can confirm that this is a known, previously reported bug within Affinity - unfortunately Fixx said it best here:Īs we have found this functionality works on the majority of Windows laptops - however there are a few instances (some Lenovo & Toshiba devices, but also others) where this simply isn't compatible with the trackpad drivers. That applies to almost all the apps listed under All apps. Go to All apps > locate WMP > right click at it > click More > click Open File location > right click at Windows Media Player > click Send To > click Desktop (create shortcut). Indeed, one very popular cleaner will regularly point to issues with my system. You do not 'drag/drop' item from Start Menu to desktop. MP3Tag has always a no brainer install for me and I have installed it many a machine without the issues you are reporting. Anyways, I tried several things and what seemed to be working for me. And to add more touches of crap, there is no option to rollback to the old application. The supposed-to-be-user-friendly-ui is bleep so annoying and complex. But this monstrousity takes a lot time to open. The highlighted area stays even if I wait a few minutes until the final click. Double click and hold button until it highlights a couple of words release button and it continues highlighting. MP3Tag certainly does not require XP mode. The default Mail for Windows used to hardly take a second to open. Double click highlights the first word but moving the mouse nothing else is highlighted. If all is good, re-attempt installing MP3Tag under the newly created user's profile and see how that goes. You may need to do an inline reset/rebuild of the machine. If errors are reported again give sfc/scannow a final try but by then, I would think a deeper investigation would be required since it would most certainly indicate a deeper problem with the build. Reboot yet again and see if the sfc / scannow reports no errors. Usually this will work to clean up some of the windows components. If after several attempts, it is still not happy, move on to the next step which would be to run the command "dism /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth". Hopefully at this point it will no longer report errors.

If it reports errors (corrupt files) and states that it has successfully repaired them, reboot the machine. Next, from an elevated command prompt (right click on command prompt) "sfc /scannow". Login as that user so it can set the desktop up. Firstly, create a new LOCAL user account and grant it administrator rights. I have a suggestion that you may want to consider. Hi Athaset, I tend to agree with Ohrenko in this. As I said: I assume that you will run into problems with other applications
